Sunday Ride to Sherringham

The day started off bright and sunny. Saw the barn owl fly into the nest box above our bed room early morning which confirms the jackdaws have moved out our been displaced.
Took the dogs out for a walk in very pleasant sunshine which disappeared as soon as we got back and ready to set off on our bikes.
Our route took us from the Barn & we found that the Chickens down the road had finally laid some pretty eggs, so we stopped and paid out £1.00 for 4 and loaded them into Jane's bag.
Onto Langham, then Wiveton before skirting around Cley & onto Kelling to then join the main coast road to Sherringham. We stopped just outside to take a picture of the stream train as it passed us. As it was cool the plume of stream was impressive.
Sherringham was rather busy for a dull February day. Had a lunch stop at the Cafe at the end of the beach front. Bit of an odd place but had a coal fire. The sea was a grubby brown colour and the mist was not far off the coast, all in all, a typical February English seaside day!
Fueled by soup and toasted sandwich we set off to take the climb up to upper Sherringham. We avoided Holt and went back via Kelling, then onto Wiveton. Saw a Barn Owl as we crossed the river at Glandford. Went up our usual route, stopping to say hello to the Donkies and then the Highland cows.
Got back a bit chilled as the temperature plummeted once it started to get a bit dark!
Despite the conditions a great ride!
